Subcontract Contracts Lead (NEC / FIDIC / GCC Contracts) – Mozambique

Master's Degree / Bachelors degree in : Legal / Law

Above average English Language skills required

Legal skills, background and experience in EPC / EPCM Contracts

Minimum 15 years EPC / EPCM Contracts (NEC / FIDIC / GCC) experience with minimum 5 years in a senior / lead position.

Must have dealt with Subcontract Contracts

Tasks

▪ Develop and maintain registers for all subcontracts to monitor the performance against the responsibilities undertaken as per the Subcontract

▪ Instruct the Subcontractor on the procedure of Administration

▪ Review and validate the progress payment submitted by Subcontractors

▪ Assure that extra works, new unit prices, claims, back charges, liquidated damages and close out of the Subcontracts are performed / processed in accordance with the relevant procedure

▪ Ensure that the letters and notices from the Subcontractors are appropriately replied to

▪ Ensure all letters, instructions and notices given to Subcontractors are acknowledged and acted upon in a timely manner

▪ Monitor key dates against dates defined in the main contract, any variations and claims submittal advice to project management team of the implications of project program and forecasts, if any (i.e. delays / costs)

▪ Analyze the issued Site Technical Queries, Site Instructions, Deviation Requests to determine cost impact related to Subcontracts

▪ Participate actively in change management and risk management sessions

▪ Manage commercial close out of Subcontract Agreements. Follow up on Completion Certificates

▪ Ensure collection and sharing of lessons learned, feedbacks and returns of experience on issues / criticalities encountered during subcontract management activities

International Contract

Single status accommodation camp based with full board

12 months contract to be extended as per project

75 days on duty 21 days off duty

10 hours per day and 6 days per week
