Job description3 years in technical leadership 2 years in facilities management ECSA registration (advantageous) Code EB driver's license. Advanced proficiency in SAP, MS Office Suite Intermediate CAD drawing skills Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making capabilities Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and capital projects Serve as the GMR 2.1 appointee, ensuring all machinery operations meet OHSA requirements. Lead and manage engineering operations across electrical, mechanical, and facilities functions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Oversee capital projects, budget management, and achievement of operational KPIs. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams. Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with business objectives. Manage facility operations and maintenance programs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all engineering disciplines. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Overview
Macsteel Tube & Pipe is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our maintenance operations and drive technical excellence within our organization. This is a strategic leadership role that combines technical expertise with operational management, overseeing critical infrastructure and engineering functions.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage a team, driving operational excellence while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

Requirements
- BSc Engineering degree (Electrical / Mechanical) - NQF Level 8
- GCC Engineer certification (Government Certificate of Competency - Factories)
- GMR 2.1 legal appointment capability
- 10+ years' engineering experience including :
5 years in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering operations
