Sales Development Representative (Contract, Remote within South Africa)
Trident Digital Enterprises (Pty) Ltd ("Trident") is a digital entrepreneurial venture, a Broad‑Based Black Economic Empowerment level‑1 entity based in Pretoria, South Africa, focusing on Edutech, Fintech and Sporttech.
Trident’s Edutech and Fintech lines of business have reached the MVP stage, while the Sporttech business is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2025.

- Analyse segmentation in the Small, Micro and Medium Enterprise (SMME) market
- Qualify opportunities for growth in the Small, Micro and Medium Enterprise (SMME) market
- Define sales strategies and tactics for revenue growth
- Attain, and exceed, contracted revenue target(s)
- Achieve 5,000 new commercial agreements over the next five (5) years, based on the market potential of 2,600,000 SMMEs (OECD, 2022)
Trident Authorised Reseller (TAR) – Fintech
Trident wishes to appoint Trident Authorised Resellers (TARs) to promote its core Fintech service offerings. A TAR must be a legal business entity, with qualified personnel, and subject to KYC / AML verification.
The TAR will be an independent contractor, not a full‑time employee, and will receive commission‑based remuneration linked to performance outcomes. Trident will provide marketing collateral, operational support and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire key customers for target attainment and business developmentPosition the Trident Fintech value proposition and competitive advantagePrepare a comprehensive sales and execution planFormalise commercial and service level agreements with the SMME marketBuild and maintain rapport with SMME customersProvide weekly and monthly performance reportsIdentify potential new markets for growth and developmentReport competitive threats and new market entrantsSchedule regular review and contact sessions with SMME customersSuggest service or product enhancements to fulfil a market needCore Requirements
Strict adherence to relevant corporate, fiduciary and regulatory compliancesProfessional experience in sales, strategic and / or executive account managementStrong ability to work with multi‑disciplinary, cross‑functional and ethnic‑diverse teamsBasic acumen in business, financial and accounting skillsIndustry accreditation, sales and marketing certificate(s), diploma(s) and / or degree(s)Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and presentations (e.g., MS Office)Fundamental understanding of Digital Transformation, Disruptive Innovation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)Effective communication skills, time management and negotiation abilitiesSound personal values, principles and ethicsCandidate preference will be given to affirmative action (AA) and employment equity (EE) applicantsSeniority Level
