Description

The Global Reconciliations Team is responsible for running, maintaining, developing, and supporting the Smartstream TLM application, which serves as a global reconciliations platform across Investec.

This is a senior role for a hands-on Technical Business Analyst / Developer with a strong background in financial services, data integration, and reconciliation workflows. You will work closely with both technology and business teams to drive reconciliation solutions across the enterprise.

Collaborate with business and technology partners to design and deliver reconciliation solutions

Lead project initiatives and mentor junior team members

Configure and deploy reconciliation workflows in the Smartstream TLM product

Develop robust data pre-processing pipelines using the Azure technology stack

Provide expert-level production support and proactively manage system performance and incidents

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming and test planning via Azure DevOps

Ensure high standards of quality assurance and documentation across deliverables

Core Skills and Experience

Essential :

5+ years in a Technical Business Analyst or Developer role within Financial Services

Proficient in SQL, PL / SQL, and Unix / Linux scripting

Proven experience with ETL and data integration pipelines

Strong understanding of reconciliation processes for securities, trade, and cash workflows

Azure cloud fundamentals including Data Factory and Function Apps

Power BI or similar reporting tools

Experience with IBM ESB integration and DevOps methodologies

Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills

Familiarity with Agile delivery practices

Tools & Platforms :

Smartstream TLM

Oracle, Azure (Data Factory, Functions), Power BI

Azure DevOps : Backlog management, Test Plans, Work Items

Mandatory :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Oracle database expertise

Experience with Unix / Linux operating systems

Proficiency in PL / SQL and C#

Extensive exposure to ETL tools and data integration processes

AZ-900 Microsoft Azure certification

Desirable :

Experience with reconciliation software or systems

Familiarity with data management and governance principles
