Description : Design + Engineering is a foundational design course that uses both architectural and engineering design processes as a context for developing skills essential to the practice and study of architecture. Students will be assigned a unique team design project with a real-world client and will be asked to present their work with drawings, diagrams, 3D models, renderings, and completed documentation.

Class Schedule : Sessional dates of appointment : January 1, to April 30,

Salary : Sessional Lecturer I - $9,.90; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $9,.79; Sessional Lecturer II - $10,.77; Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $10,.62; Sessional Lecturer III - $10,.76; Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $10,.02 (inclusive of vacation pay)

Minimum Qualifications : Master of Architecture / Master of Landscape Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications : We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching design at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Description of Duties : Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials; supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations; marking of student work; submission of grades; dealing with student enquiries, appeals, and petitions; and student contact hours.

This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14 : 12 of the CUPE Unit 3 collective agreement.
