Title : Instrumentation Technician
Location : Mozambique (Expat)
Requirements :
- Minimum : N2 plus Trade Certificate through a recognised Institution plus Code 8
- Desired : T3 / S4 or N6 plus Trade Certificate plus Code 10
- Knowledge of diamond plants and DMS and Recovery circuits
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sector
Minimum : 5 years of plant maintenance experienceDesired : 8 years of plant maintenance experienceResponsibilities :
Conduct routine inspections and fault-finding on components in plantInstall control systems, instruments, control valves and all other instrumentsConduct planned maintenance and repairsRepair / overhaul componentsMaintain a clean workplace / good housekeepingComplete daily registers and job cardsConduct applicable spares inventory weekly and reportReport safety incidents / accidentsComply with safety, health, security and environmental standardsDo pre- and post-assessments of equipment sent for repairsProvide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance functionLiaise with planned maintenance officers to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediationDevelop the critical spares and sub-assembly register for all equipment on the operationsAnalysing the blueprints for instrumentation systems to determine the specifications of the components to be maintained / replacedDevelop the critical spares and sub-assembly register for all equipment in the operationsFault find PLC-based control system using circuit diagrams and software; Work with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) software, hardware wiring, drives (Siem measuring instruments (scales, weighbridges, level detectors, temperature controllers (Digital and analogue)Programme and faultfind on the VSD drivesPlease apply via our website :
