The role involves leading and supervising a team of Training Facilitators to deliver driver and operator training that promotes safety compliance and upskilling across Unitrans. The Lead Training Facilitator ensures the delivery of training activities within a division in alignment with organizational priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and report on training activities within the division.
- Schedule classroom practical remedial training and coaching activities.
- Moderate completed assessments monthly.
- Report on moderation activities internally and externally.
- Perform subject matter expert duties during customer audits.
- Conduct Train the Trainer sessions (SOP Customer requirements PBS DG and OVC).
- Assist and supervise remedial training interventions (e.g., Drive cam telematics after incidents / accidents).
- Focus on high-risk drivers and act as the main contact to reduce risky driving behaviors.
- Coach and mentor Training Facilitators.
- Monitor drive-cam events and provide training suggestions; develop Toolbox talks to mitigate risks.
- Report on training interventions periodically (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, annually).
- Assess and improve the competencies of Training Facilitators.
- Develop innovative training and development programs in collaboration with the Divisional Head : Human Capital.
- Conduct periodic and reinforcement training for staff.
- Assist with accident / incident investigations and develop training plans to improve driving skills and prevent reoccurrences.
- Deliver internal and legislative training to drivers, ensuring understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to develop long-term and short-term training plans.
- Perform job observations to enhance behavioral safety.
- Act as a contingency during crisis situations.

Registered assessor and moderator with TETACode EC LicenceExperience :
Facilitating training for operating vehicle combinations and dangerous goodsInternal moderation experienceCode EC driving experienceKey Skills
Experience working with students, communication skills, classroom experience, data collection, adult education, meeting facilitation, calculus, LMS, teaching, training & development, exercise planning, remedy.
