Accountant

This is a growing small accounting firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join the team.

This is a hybrid role, offering a flexible work arrangement with the ability to work from home while also visiting clients as needed.

The Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, supporting our clients and contributing to the smooth operation of the firm.Responsibilities : Client Work : Performing bookkeeping and accounting services for clients.Preparing and analyzing financial statements.Assisting with tax preparation and filing (individual and business).Providing accounting and financial advice to clients.Visiting client locations as needed for meetings, audits, or other on-site work.Accounting Operations : Maintaining accurate financial records for the firm.Assisting with internal audits.Reconciling bank accounts and other financial records.Preparing reports and analyses as required.Other Duties : Staying up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.Participating in professional development activities.Performing other related duties as assigned.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accountingpleted articles.Strong understanding of accounting principles.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, Xero, and Draftworx).Experience with tax preparation software is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Preferably (not essential) bi-lingual in English and Afrikaans.Must have your own transport.
