Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and evolution of Systems of Systems (SoS) within a fast-paced vehicle telematics environment. This role demands strategic thinking and technical expertise to architect and orchestrate complex, interconnected systems spanning vehicles, IoT devices, cloud services, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate across engineering disciplines, business stakeholders, and enterprise customers to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready telematics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectures for interconnected telematics systems integrating hardware, software, and cloud platforms across multiple domains.
- Ensure seamless interoperability, data exchange, and synchronization between heterogeneous systems.
- Apply SoS principles such as emergence, scalability, interoperability, and evolutionary development to system design.
- Lead end-to-end system lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, verification, and validation.
- Define system-of-systems KPIs for performance, reliability, and security across platforms.
- Serve as a technical authority for system architecture decisions, balancing trade-offs between cost, performance, and time-to-market.
- Design integration frameworks connecting telematics data, enterprise applications, analytics platforms, and external systems.
- Support digital twins and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies for complex integrations.
- Leverage standards such as ISO 15288 and INCOSE SE Handbook for systems engineering best practices.
- Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and product management to deliver robust solutions.
- Act as the primary technical interface with enterprise customers, ensuring alignment with their architecture and security requirements.
- Explore AI / ML integration, edge computing, and 5G technologies for advanced telematics capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, data security, and cost efficiency.
- Create high-level system blueprints, integration roadmaps, and security frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with functional safety (ISO and cybersecurity standards (ISO / SAE where applicable).
