Applications are invited for the Enterprise Network Engineer position to be based in Plattekloof, Cape Town.
Purpose Of The Role
As an Enterprise Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of network infrastructure environments for enterprise customers. Operating within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) framework, this role is focused on the internal engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise LAN, SD-WAN, firewall, and managed Wi‑Fi solutions.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to :
- Design and plan scalable and secure enterprise network environments, including LAN, SD‑WAN, Firewalls, and Wi‑Fi infrastructure.
- Deploy and configure networking hardware and software across client environments according to design and security best practices.
- Maintain and support the operational stability of enterprise networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Layer 2 / 3, SD‑WAN overlays, and perimeter security infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers, systems engineers, and service delivery teams to ensure smooth rollouts and consistent operations.
- Implement upgrades, patches, and firmware updates on network devices.
- Document configurations, designs, and changes in accordance with internal standards and compliance frameworks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, templates, and processes used to deliver and maintain network services.

3 to 7 years’ experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure roles.Expert knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, QoS, and security principles.Experience designing and implementing SD‑WAN and enterprise Wi‑Fi solutions.Familiarity with managed services environments, NOC / SOC collaboration, and change control processes.Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.Ability to work independently in a high‑availability, multi‑client environment.Proactive, structured, and documentation‑oriented approach to network management.Willingness to engage in after‑hours changes and standby / on‑call rotation as needed.Education Requirements
Grade 12Relevant certifications a plus (e.g., CCNP, JNCIS, MTCRE, NSE, PCAP, SOPHOS).Please Note
