Overview
To tactically & strategically lead Impala shaft resources to continually ensure Impala business plan parameters are met (safety, production, efficiency, cost and safety targets).
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Mining / Mining Engineering Degree or related NQF 7 equivalent
- Mine Manager's certificate of Competency
- MDP / MAP is desirable
- 7 years mining experience at metalliferous mines
- At least 3 - 5 years working experience as an appointed Mine Manager 3.1a is essential
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ensures production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively and safely on a sustainable basis for the shaft / business unit.Implements and maintains sound people management and development practices to ensure a productive workforce.Develops and executes the strategic vision / plan for a shaft(s) and directly assists the GM in the tactical management process via transformational / effective leadership.Acts as the custodian for innovation, technology & best practices at shaft level.Ensures environmental and social concerns are managed as a strategic focus area at shaft level.Ensures effective asset management process are implemented and adheredInternal applications must be accompanied by a line manager's approval of your application.
