Engineer - Electrical and Controls

Requirements :

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Systems, or Control Systems.
• ECSA registration (or in progress).
• Specialisation in power systems, power electronics, or control systems advantageous.
• 25+ years in power systems, grid integration, renewable energy, or control systems engineering.
• Exposure to prototypes, R&D environments, test rigs, or experimental technologies is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of grid-tied systems, synchronisation, protection, and grid-code compliance.
• Experience with inverters, converters, and power electronics controllers.
• Control systems knowledge : PID tuning, feedback / feedforward, safety interlocks, automation, state machines.
• PLC programming or embedded control logic (advantageous).
• Experience with SCADA / HMI systems and industrial instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of fault levels, protection relays, and MV / LV systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system models.
• Experience with MATLAB / Simulink, PLECS, or similar tools is beneficial.
