Engineering Business Development Manager

Requirements

• An Engineering qualification and an MBA or marketing qualification (preferably)
• A strong understanding of engineering principles is essential to effectively communicate with clients and internal technical teams.
• Expertise in sales, marketing and business development is crucial for driving growth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for client interactions, presentations and internal communication
• The ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and project management skills are required to oversee sales processes and ensure projects meet their goals.
• Proficient in negotiation of contracts and the ability to find creative solutions to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify new markets, customer needs, and potential business opportunities.

Prospect for new clients, build relationships, and manage existing customer accounts.

Prepare sales contracts and proposals, negotiate contract terms, and work with internal teams to create pricing strategies.

Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments like engineering and logistics.

Organize and run marketing campaigns and prepare literature for new products.

Monitor sales, market trends, and competitor activity to report on performance and recommend strategy adjustments.
