Job description

My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Technical Test Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.

IT / Finance

Responsibilities

Analyse requirements and design test cases
Perform manual and automated testing (Unit, SIT, UAT, Regression, Smoke)
Maintain and execute regression test packs
Prepare, create, and manage test data
Conduct back-end (database) testing using SQL queries
Test APIs with tools such as SOAPUI or Bruno
Log and manage defects using JIRA (or similar)
Share knowledge and collaborate with team members
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years\' software testing experience.

Relevant degree / diploma in Computer Science or IT.

Experience with :

Java (TestNG), Eclipse, Maven, Git, JMeter, Selenium

Manual and automated test execution

API and database testing (SQL Server, Oracle)

QC / ALM, JIRA, Confluence

Experience in white box, black box, web application, and cross-browser testing.

ISTQB certification (advantageous).

Knowledge of investment / financial services (advantageous).

Competencies

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.

Flexible and adaptable to change.
