Position Overview
The Business Application Specialist will play a pivotal role in our global IT Delivery team acting as a key business analyst for application and business process improvements. This role serves as a strategic partner to departments such as Commercial Finance and Operations, gaining deep insight into their processes, data needs, and areas where technology can drive efficiency and informed decision‑making. The specialist will also manage projects related to application enhancements and new implementations within their area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis : Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, applications, and data requirements; identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance business efficiency.
- Business Partnering : Collaborate closely with Commercial Finance and Operations departments to understand their processes and needs; act as a liaison to ensure that application solutions align with business objectives.
- Process Improvement : Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness; implement changes that drive better decision‑making and productivity.
- Data Management : Understand and assess high‑level and departmental data requirements; ensure data integrity and accuracy and use data‑driven insights to support business strategies.
- Application Management : Oversee the implementation and maintenance of business applications; ensure that applications meet the needs of the organization and are used effectively.
- Project Management : Manage projects that deliver business change through applications and data; ensure robust change management for successful adoption outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or application management.Strong understanding of Commercial Finance and Operations processes in a consultancy or software delivery business.Demonstrable abilities in project and change management.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Proficiency in data management and application tools.Experience in Salesforce or Dynamics CRM would be beneficial.Key Skills
