PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
- The objective of the role is to manage the financial risk and liquidity and to ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and regulations within the Implats Group.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :
A treasury, financial market or banking related post graduate qualification will be an advantage.Minimum of 4 6 years relevant experience in corporate treasury and / or banking environment.Minimum of 4 6 years experience in corporate money markets, forex, cash flow and risk management.Sound knowledge of foreign exchange markets, interest rates markets, statutory banking laws and regulations relevant to corporate treasuries.Must have knowledge of operations, processes and systems within the corporate treasury environment.Excellent analytical-, interpersonal-, negotiation and presentation skills required.Strong planning-, organizing-, and prioritising skills with the ability to cultivate relationships.Must be detail conscious, disciplined and also a team player with strong leadership skills.Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES :
Ensure compliance to South African Reserve Bank requirements, reporting and banking regulations and compliance with the companies act.Maintain a process of high quality internal control within Treasury and the back office.Manage the short- and medium term cash flow of the operations as well as treasury related payments.Ensure effective cash management on group consolidated level.Manage treasury data input into the general ledger system (SAP).Manage the foreign currency risk associated with the business.Manage distribution of Treasury related information for accounting including monthly and other Treasury reporting.Build and manage banking relationships to ensure sufficient banking facilities to fund operational requirements.Manage and review interest rate risk for the business and equity related transactions.Manage compliance with RCF, guarantees and loan covenants.Manage guarantees required for operations.Manage the custody process of acquisition of companies.SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES MAY BE SUBJECTED TO PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS - IMPALA PLATINUM LTD RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
