To provide professional, efficient, and organised administrative and front-office support to the Intermediate Phase. This role ensures smooth daily operations, effective communication with parents and staff, and a welcoming environment for learners and visitors.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements :
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential
- A relevant certificate or diploma in reception, office management, administration, or secretarial studies is preferred
- Experience in reception, office administration, or PA support
- Computer literacy is essential - proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and emergency protocols
- Experience working in a school environment is essential
Key Performance Areas :
Welcome and assist learners, parents, and visitors in a professional mannerManage incoming calls, emails, and enquiriesMaintain reception order, visitor logs, and access control processesHandle documentation, filing, correspondence, and general office administrationMaintain accurate learner and parent recordsPrepare documents, reports, letters, and communication for the schoolAssist with academic and operational tasks such as timetable updates, assessment coordination, and staff communicationSupport the coordination of phase events, activities, and academic functionsAssist with basic first aid when requiredDistribute notices, circulars, and updates to parents and staffEnsure smooth communication between the teachers, learners, and parentsDraft and format documents and messages when requiredManage diaries and schedules for the intermediate schoolCoordinate meetings, book venues, arrange logistics, and prepare required materialsUse school systems such as SASAMS (or similar)
