Job descriptionNational Diploma in Quality Management or Engineering. National Diploma in Safety Management or relevant experience in SHE Management. Trained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949 : 2016 & VDA 6.3 : 2016. Min 6 years’ experience in a similar role within the Automotive Industry. Report to the Managing Director : Quality Strategy : Support the BU in driving down external PPM and maintain good customer relationships. Quality Management : Lead quality meetings and report on external customer satisfaction. Lead project management for each site and overall business unit. Quality Assurance : Develop and approve Quality Procedures and Policies. SHE : Support management in delivering SHE objectives. Assist with the implementation of new or existing SHE related legislation, rules and company standards. Assist in preparing and co-ordinating the yearly SHE action plan and longer term SHE roadmap. Monitor and manage all SHEQ compliance and improvements. Finance : Budget annual quality and safety compliance items. Audits : Support and give plants direction during external quality audits. Information Management and Direction Focussing : Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) : Continuous Improvement : Staff Management : Compile and update Performance Contracts and Individual Development Plans and facilitate individual career path planning. Conduct Performance Reviews and manage substandard performance. Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels. Resolve grievances and disputes.

Our client is a subsidiary of a larger listed holding company, and one of South Africa’s largest manufacturers. They currently seek your quality expertise to lead external quality and projects for the Business Unit and support in co-ordinating SHE compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- National Diploma in Quality Management or Engineering.
- National Diploma in Safety Management or relevant experience in SHE Management.
- Trained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949 : 2016 & VDA 6.3 : 2016.
- Min 6 years’ experience in a similar role within the Automotive Industry.
Minimum Job Requirements :
Key Performance Areas :
Develop the Total Quality Strategic Plan and ensure implementation for the Business Unit.
Manage requirements related to Quality and other standards (IATF 16949 : 2016, ISO 9001 : 2015 & VDA 6.3 : 2016).
Support the BU in ensuring that IATF 16049 certification is upheld.
Lead divisional health and safety meetings.
Support all initiatives to drive down cost through better quality.
Develop audit plans.
Conduct BU management reviews.
Manage the contract review process.
Develop an updated Continuous Improvement Plan.
Manage individual, team and departmental performance.
