Purpose of the role :
To exceed the annual sales budget and sell full range of surgical instruments and surgical products in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals
To build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage and gain greater market share at all times.
To ensure usage and gain greater market share within Pretoria.
Call on state and private hospitals
Experience with energy devices and / or stapling products is essential.
Promoting Current and New products :
- Actively seek to identify new business opportunities to sell new products
- Exceed annually contracted budgets
- Demonstrate a consistent work methodology that focuses on achieving targets
- Demonstrate a consistent record of growing new business in the territory
- Maintain and grow existing accounts and develop new "targets"
- Promote products to be used in theatre and achieve commitment for a scrub
- Take responsibility for the placement of orders post scrub (within 30 days)
Management by Objectives :

Building relationships and provide an excellent before and after sales service as detailed below :Maintain a scrub rate of 10 per week. Two of the scrubs must be in UrologyMaintain a call rate of 10 surgeons room calls per week where a product is discussed and a full demonstration is conducted - this constitutes a : detailed callVisit all theatre management, stores and procurement every week to discuss new products, consignment stock, problem solving and value adding suggestions and outstanding orders -this constitutes a Follow up callHave one monthly set appointment with theatre matrons for new products and problem solving discussions - this constitutes a Business development callSet 8 monthly appointments for new product and problem solving discussions with theatre matron - this constitutes a service callHave one in - service training per week with theatre staff for the duration of 1 hourRepresentatives to carry and maintain a uniform bag as issued by the marketing department. To be carried at all times whilst in the fieldFinancial / Job Scope :
