The Role
The role of the Physiotherapist within Amana Living is to provide physiotherapy services to residents in our residential care facilities. We are currently seeking experienced and proactive Physiotherapists to support our Lefroy Care Centre in Bull Creek.
Weeks 1 & 2
This role is permanent part‑time (2 days a week, 30.4 hours per fortnight) on the following roster :
Wednesday : 08 : 00–16 : 15Friday : 08 : 00–16 : 15Please note you must be able to commit to all days.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in physiotherapy assessment and program development, and the delivery of evidence‑based physiotherapy interventions in the aged care or health services sector. You should have superior interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with residents, families, and team members to facilitate positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments that identify residents’ mobility, falls risk, and physical ability.Contribute to the development of holistic, individualised, resident‑focused care plans in partnership with the resident, their carer / advocate, and the Amana Living team.Provide individualized physiotherapy interventions and services, including equipment prescription, to enable residents to maintain mobility, reduce the risk of falls, and maximize quality of life.Conduct frequent reviews of treatment objectives and interventions to ensure continued application, efficacy, and outcomes.Contribute to the development and monitoring of group exercise programs in assigned residential care sites, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.Maintain current knowledge of contemporary physiotherapy practice and ensure all clinical practice aligns with relevant legislative requirements, professional codes of ethics and conduct, and available evidence.Ensure all documentation is timely, accurate, and maintained in accordance with the Amana Living Clinical Governance Framework, organisational policies and procedures, and confidentiality agreements.Consult with Amana Living staff in a multidisciplinary manner, including making recommendations for involving other allied health professionals.Essential Criteria
Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).Experience leading teams, motivating others, and collaborating to achieve objectives.Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Evidence of COVID‑19 and current 2024 Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies.Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months).NDIS Screen (or willingness to obtain at interview stage).Successful completion of pre‑employment physical and reference checks.Willingness to attend a 2‑day induction at our Amana Living Training Institute (8 : 30 am–4 pm).How To Apply
