Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maritime or industrial setting Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work well in a team environment Willingness to work in a physically demanding and potentially hazardous environment Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary certifications and licenses as required Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems onboard the cruise ship
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions and performing necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on board the vessel
- Communicate effectively with other crew members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks
- Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts and supplies
