Responsibilities
- Drive finance solutions that support business objectives, ensuring accurate and timely general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet entries and financial reporting in line with IFRS standards. Analyse reports to identify risks, opportunities and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain and update budget and forecast models, track expenditures and proactively engage with business units to optimise cost efficiency and operational performance.
- Deliver consistent high-quality financial service to internal and external clients. Resolve queries promptly, provide expert guidance and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance client satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls, ensure accurate documentation for audits and manage VAT, tax and other statutory reporting requirements within timelines.
- Maintain fixed asset register, manage additions, disposals and reconciliations and ensure cashbook accuracy, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Build productive relationships with peers and stakeholders, contribute to change initiatives, share innovative ideas and actively support team goals.
- Take ownership of personal development, manage time effectively and consistently pursue targets while driving efficiency and process improvements across financial operations.
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12)Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accountancy or an equivalent accounting qualification.Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in the financial services industry.35 years experience is preferred and considered advantageous.Skills & Competencies
