Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician on board vessels. Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment commonly used on board ships. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Valid STCW certification and other relevant licenses and certifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Chief Electrician in the maintenance, repair, and installation of all electrical equipment On Board Cruise Ship
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure they are properly stored and accounted for.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on board.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Assist in training and supervising junior electricians and other crew members on electrical safety and procedures.
