Director of Annie : The Musical - City Youth Theatre

City Youth Theatre (CYT) is a new initiative developed by the City of London School for Girls (CLSG). This year, the programme is open to pupils in Year 6 Year 9 (ages 10 to 14), from CLSG, City Junior School (CJS) and City of London School (CLS) . We aim to accept all applicants, unless numbers exceed capacity, in which case we will audition for entry. Specific solo and featured roles are auditioned in the first few weeks of rehearsals.

We are looking for someone to join the artistic team as Director for City Youth Theatres inaugural production, Annie : The Musical. The post-holder will have a demonstrated ability in directing large-scale musical productions and will liaise with parents, City of London School for Girls (CLSG) Drama Department staff, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, preferably within theatre / performing arts disciplines. The Director will report to the CLSG Director of Drama.

This role is a 10-month fixed term contract from January to October with rehearsals (including technical and dress rehearsals) spread over the 10-month term. Candidates will only be required on Saturday mornings for the majority of the contract. Full rehearsal details can be found below.

This post has a flat fee of £3,000 for rehearsal time, plus £500 for prep.
