Location : Opportunities available across the Severn Catchment, with a particular focus along the River Teme (Worcestershire and Shropshire).

Contract Type : Flexible, project-based work packages.

What we’re looking for : Individuals who can contribute expertise in one or more of the specialist skill areas listed below e.g. independent ecological advisors, farm consultants, farm group facilitators, and those with general experience working in the sector.

Severn Rivers Trust is on a mission to scale up its impact across the catchment – we want to deliver more, we want to deliver it faster, and we want to be more ambitious in our approach. To support this, we’re looking for passionate freelancers and independent consultants to join us on the journey and provide wrap‑around support to our Operations Department.

At this time, we are looking for support in implementing a range of exciting Nature Based Solution projects, focussed on delivering habitat interventions on farmland that unlock multiple benefits for biodiversity, flood risk reduction and water quality. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who can bring skills in :

• Engaging landowners & identifying opportunties
• Designing & planning habitat interventions
• Obtaining consents & permissions
• Coordinating land management contractors & overseeing groundworks

Contracts will be issued as focused work packages with clear deliverables, timelines, and locations, giving you the flexibility to work in the areas you’re most familiar. Contract values will vary depending on the scope and nature of the work.
