Senior Financial Analyst

Job Overview

Leap29 is assisting leading renewables investment firm specialising in clean energy markets.

They are seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Cape Town.

This role involves financial modelling, market research, investment analysis, and deal execution within a dynamic, Pan‑African investment environment. The analyst will work closely with regional teams, industry partners, and stakeholders to support high‑quality investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and identify potential investment opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models and valuations in MS Excel for project finance and growth equity deals.
• Assist in the negotiation, execution, monitoring, and exit of portfolio investments.
• Prepare investment reports, deal papers, and presentations.
• Work with large datasets to generate insights for investment decision‑making.
• Collaborate with the investment team on strategic direction and market positioning.
• Continuously develop expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure, and resource efficiency investments.
