As they continue to expand their operations, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Oversee and review bank imports and reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process accurate journals and create required reconciliations.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist in tax compliance and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor financial transactions and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
- Collaborate across departments to gather required financial data and insights.
- Assist in the development, implementation and improvement of financial policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements :
Completed SAICA Articles is mandatory.Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Enthusiasm for the fintech industry and eagerness to learn.Knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.Preferred Qualifications :
Postgraduate qualification in Finance or Accounting.Prior experience in a fintech or technology-related company.Familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis.Experience with ERP systems or financial management software.General
