Coordinator : Comprehensive Partnership Portfolio (CPP) – Post Level 9, Stellenbosch Campus, Stellenbosch University International (SU International)
Overview
Stellenbosch University International aims to contribute to the aspiration of Stellenbosch University to be an internationally recognised research‑intensive institution. The CPP role focuses on coordinating and supporting institutional partnerships within the Comprehensive Partnership Portfolio. The incumbent will report to the Director : Centre for Global Engagement.
Responsibilities
- In consultation with the respective comprehensive partners, their coordinators and the Director : Centre for Global Engagement, develop, coordinate and oversee the execution of work plans for the respective partnerships of the Comprehensive Partnership Portfolio (CPP).
- Implement agreement provisions, monitor and evaluate work plans and partnership interventions to ensure successful implementation of CPP work plans, arranging meetings as necessary.
- Develop and oversee seed funding projects within each comprehensive partnership – joint development, managing the call within SU, advising interested parties and leading the awards process in collaboration with international counterparts, including M&E.
- Execute and monitor the individual Comprehensive Partner Workplans, in consultation with partners and the Director.
- Work closely with the Centre for Global Engagement team, the Centre for Collaboration in Africa and the International Stakeholders Engagement working group to ensure transformative impact of the CPP activities.
- Coordinate CPP activities with stakeholders such as academics in seed funding projects, the Postgraduate Office regarding Joint PhDs.
- Support the Director to engage academically to encourage uptake of CPP opportunities, pursuing independently where appropriate.
- Coordinate with the Coordinator : Marketing and Communication for impactful communication of CPP opportunities and initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Coordinator : Multilateral Collaboration and Information Management to ensure effective information management of the CPP.
- Coordinate with the Senior Programme Manager : Unit for Partnerships to align CPP activities with the Unit for Partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree equivalent to NQF 7 or higher.Five years’ relevant experience within a higher education institution.Strong systematic administrative and coordination skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal and self‑management skills – a hands‑on team player with a proven record of accomplishment.Ability to engage verbally and in writing with individuals across various levels within and external to the organisation.Initiative, judgement, problem‑solving and accurate, deadline‑oriented work with minimal supervision.Understanding of and sensitivity to different cultural issues.Proven computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.Proven project and workplan management skills.Experience working with international university partnerships.EEO Statement
