Factory / Production Manager

Job descriptionDevelop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines. Manage production capacity and resource planning (manpower, equipment, materials). Ensure all production targets (KPIs) for safety, quality, output, and cost are met or exceeded. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) : Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and lead incident investigations. Drive initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the manufacturing process. Quality Assurance : Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to implement and maintain quality control systems. Address and resolve quality issues promptly using root cause analysis and corrective actions. Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing : Implement and foster Lean Manufacturing principles. Optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of shift supervisors, team leaders, and production operators. Manage performance, conduct appraisals, and identify training needs to build a skilled and engaged workforce. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication. Budget & Cost Control : Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on safety or quality. Maintenance & Asset Management : Minimize machine downtime and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior production management role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Demonstrable experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (Certification is a strong plus). Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control. In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Proficiency with MRP / ERP systems and MS Office Suite with a focus on advanced excel. Experience with automation and digitalization projects (Industry 4.0). Position Summary
The Factory / Production Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the entire manufacturing process within the facility. You will oversee all aspects of production, including safety, quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost management. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing workflows, and developing a high-performing team to meet and exceed our operational and strategic goals.

- Operational Leadership & Management :
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Champion a world-class safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all HSE regulations and company policies.
Uphold the highest standards of product quality, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower operating costs.
Develop and manage the production department’s daily, weekly, monthly and annual budget.
Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
