The Sales Engineer will focus on driving new business and expanding existing customer accounts across industries including manufacturing, mining, food & beverage, water, and process automation. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, understanding customer technical requirements, and proposing engineered solutions that align with their process automation needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within automation, electrical, control & instrumentation markets.
- Engage with customers at engineering and decision-maker level to understand operational challenges and propose technical solutions.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical proposals, ensuring accurate scope and costing.
- Work closely with internal technical teams to ensure feasibility and solution alignment.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to existing and new clients.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure excellent after-sales support.
- Compile sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
Requirements
National Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.3 7 years experience in automation, E,C&I, PLC / SCADA, or instrumentation sales .Proven ability to sell technical solutions into industrial sectors.Solid understanding of automation architectures, instrumentation products, and control systems.Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
