The main purpose of this role will be to Increase visibility and awareness of the Groups pharmaceutical and medical products by maximizing sales growth. Act as the key link between wholesaler and healthcare professionals. Develop new and existing customer relationships to drive increased sales.
Minimum Requirements…
- Grade 12 / Matric
- NQF4 Pharmacist Assistant PB
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in Pharmacy sales
- Knowledge of MS Office

Drive prospects for new business and develop pipeline of leads and convert to actual new business.Ensure sustainability by maximising sales potential with existing customers.Stay abreast with the latest trends and products supplied to optimize sales opportunities.Collaborate with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.Keep informed of new developments in the industry, anticipating potential positive and negative impacts and adjust sales strategy in consultation with management.Engage manager regarding plans on how to approach contacts and creating effective business plans for driving sales in a particular areaAssess clients’ needs and present suitable promoted productsLiaise with and persuade targeted doctors to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysisProvide product information and deliver product samplesAttend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and symposium circuits.Build positive trust relationships with medical representatives to influence targeted group in the decision‑making processMaintain satisfactory customer call rate, strike rate and territory coverageNegotiate additional display areas and space, in line with marketing objective, to accentuate the brand building activitiesBuild and maintain business relationships in-store / in-practice with personnel who have an impact upon the company’s businessEngage in a detailing session with all parties (scripting / dispensing doctors and pharmacists)Ensure all sales contracts and other documentation are completed correctly and documentation is submitted to the support team.Investigate problems, prepare reports, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaint.Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback.Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.Planning work, schedules, weekly and monthly timetablesCompetencies
