Job Description
Our client is a dynamic and growing property services group with a significant presence in both the UK and South Africa. They are committed to operational excellence and are undergoing a strategic initiative to bring their payroll functions in-house offering a unique opportunity to shape and lead this critical transition.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for both South African (EMP201 EMP501 IRP5 UIF SDL) and UK (PAYE NICs RTI) operations ensuring full statutory compliance.
- Lead comprehensive payroll reconciliations audits and the effective resolution of exceptions.
- Develop and maintain robust payroll Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) manage payroll calendars and enforce cut-off controls.
- Take ownership of HRIS and payroll systems including configuration integration and managing vendor relationships.
- Ensure the integrity of payroll data accuracy of reporting and readiness for all audits.
- Stay current with all relevant payroll legislation in both South Africa (BCEA SARS) and the UK (HMRC).
- Manage the transition of payroll processing from multiple outsourced vendors to an in-house function.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the payroll function by identifying resource needs and implementing solutions.
