The Jewellery DC is seeking a dynamic and driven Controller to join our high-performance logistics team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing the daily performance of operational teams within your assigned functional area, ensuring optimal flow, accuracy, and output in line with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Managing the output of Supervisors and Clerks across multiple teams;

Monitor and guide output and workforce planning, and scheduling;

Driving teams to meet and exceed daily and weekly performance targets;

Planning and managing the flow of information and merchandise across and through teams within available processing space;

Liaising with line managers and business units on allocations and priorities

Managing performance, training, and development;

Ensuring compliance with Group Logistics Best Operating Practice (BOP) standards;

Identifying and proposing solutions for operational inefficiencies;

Summarizing daily activities into weekly reporting and incorporating key performance areas;

Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) essential;

Having a post-matric qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics & Warehouse Management / Retail Business Management would be advantageous.

3 – 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment;

Proven experience managing teams and driving performance through others;

Strong understanding of DC operations and logistics best practices;

Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills;

Hands-on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and development;

Proficiency in MS Office applications, i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint;

Working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (eg, WMOS).
