Main Purpose
Tech Bar Engineers are based at a central location at the customer’s site. Engineers will provide walk‑in services to customers for desktop, laptop, and peripheral equipment. The role includes maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals, documenting, upgrading, and replacing hardware and software systems, and supporting and maintaining user account information, rights, security, and system groups as required.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead team members on pertinent issues.
- Support and cover for site Bridgehead during holidays and sickness.
- Deliver repair services to customer staff at the Tech Bar.
- Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone and work orders in a courteous manner.
- Document end‑user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
- Build rapport and elicit problem details from help‑desk customers.
- Prioritize and schedule problems; Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technical level.
- Record, track, and document the help‑desk request problem‑solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
Qualifications
Speaks and writes in English at a C1 level.Any college degree, ideally within IT.Experience with all forms of MS Windows‑based personal computing devices and associated peripherals.Acquires job skills and learns / adheres to company policies and procedures. Completes routine tasks pertaining to computer hardware, software, or operating system support.Preferred Certifications
Any IT certification.A+ certification or similar.OEM / Vendor courses and / or experience working with Dell, HP, Lenovo, Lexmark, IBM products.ITIL certification preferred.Rosslyn based.Rotational shift.Own transport.Senior Field Engineer / Experience in team or project management.Length of Work Experience Required
