Group Accountant

Location : De Waterkant Cape Town

Salary : R35 000 R50 000 per month (experience-dependent)

Hybrid / In-office : Primarily in-office Monday to Friday with the possibility of one remote day per week depending on performance experience and operational needs

About the Role

The Group Accountant will take responsibility for general day-to-day accounting functions across several entities supporting compliance requirements reconciliations disclosures fixed asset management and statutory submissions. The role will also include mentoring junior team members and ensuring high standards of accuracy and organisation within the finance function.

A February 2026 start is ideal; however an earlier start date would be welcomed where possible.

Requirements and Responsibilities

Key Requirements

• SAIPA-registered Professional Accountant
• Post-articles experience preferred
• Experience with SARS statutory submissions
• Solid VAT knowledge including applications and reconciliations
• Understanding of statutory obligations including CIPC and Department of Labour submissions
• Ideally based near Cape Town CBD for ease of commute
• Experience with Google Workspace and Xero is advantageous
• Strong organisational time management and analytical skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
