• Support senior team members in driving business growth and profitability within the agriculture portfolio, focusing on client engagement and opportunity identification.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and / or suppliers, ensuring consistent business development
• Conduct regular meetings with new and existing clients to understand their needs and promote tailored financial solutions
• Build strong relationships to uncover additional business opportunities and promote complementary products and services across the Merchant West Group
• Support financial assessments and contribute to structuring agreements that meet both client needs and company objectives
• Ensure timely and efficient execution of new business transactions from initiation to closure, maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements
• Analyse agricultural market trends to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decision-makingQualifications
• Matric required
• BCom degree with Agriculture and / or Finance as a subject(s) advantageousExperience
• 1-5 years of working experience
• 1 years’ experience in a sales position within agriculture / farming operationsSkills
• Ability to understand and analyse financial statements within the agricultural sector
• Demonstrates effective time management
