We are seeking an experienced Project Manager based in South Africa who can bring significant UK digital agency expertise, working in a flexible, remote‑first capacity to service our UK‑based clients.
Role – Contractor / Remote (South Africa)
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage large‑scale digital transformation projects from inception to completion, working directly with diverse clients and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, adhering to rigorous agency standards.
- Coordinate internal resources, external contractors, and third‑party vendors for flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, maintaining high standards.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using established agency methodologies.
- Act as the main point of contact for all project‑related matters, building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and reconciling budgets, with experience handling significant project values.
- Have working exposure to cloud computing and understand its role in digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure delivery of robust and scalable digital solutions.
Key things we are looking for
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven, hands‑on experience managing large and complex web digital transformation projects.A minimum of 3 years of consistent experience working for a UK‑based Digital Agency in a Project Manager role, with a strong portfolio of UK market‑focused projects.Demonstrable experience with budget management and reconciliation, including managing project budgets exceeding £500K.Exposure to cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on data‑driven decision‑making.Excellent verbal and written communication skills—capable of translating complex technical issues into clear client communications.Deep understanding of digital transformation, including SEO, UX, accessibility (WCAG), and security best practices.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).Other Requirements
