Senior Data Quality Analyst – Global Markets – Johannesburg – up to R550 per hour

One of Africas largest diversified financial services groups , offering an integrated set of products and services across retail, business, corporate, investment, and wealth banking is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Senior Data Quality Analyst with deep knowledge of financial markets and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in Investment Banking or Capital Markets, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing data quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Data Quality Processes : Design, document, and implement procedures ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Metrics & Monitoring : Define data quality KPIs and maintain dashboards with alerting mechanisms.
• Workflow Integration : Embed data quality checkpoints into existing business / trading processes.
• Governance & Compliance : Enforce data lineage, attestation, and regulatory frameworks (FMA, EMIR, Dodd‑Frank, CFTC).
• Regulatory Research : Track and interpret evolving regulations across South Africa, Africa, and globally.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with trading desks, risk management, data IT teams, and producers.
• Remediation & Resolution : Lead and support initiatives to fix data anomalies.
• Dashboarding & Alerts : Build technical dashboards for ongoing data quality oversight.
