Associate (Equity Analyst) – Johannesburg

Shift Pursuit is proud to partner with one of Sandton’s leading investment firms — known for its commitment to excellence and employee development. They are looking to appoint a dynamic and analytical individual to join their investment team in a high-impact Associate role. This is a unique opportunity for a high-calibre professional to join a growing and reputable fund, where you’ll play a key role across the full investment value chain, from deal origination to portfolio management. The role reports directly to the partners and principal of the fund.

Requirements :

• CA(SA), CFA, MBA, Business Science, BSc or relevant finance-related degree
• 4–6 years’ post-articles or relevant experience (ideally at Associate level)
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
• Strong business acumen and analytical capability
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial flair and drive
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure
• Solid understanding of relevant regulations (Tax, Companies Act, etc.)
• Team-oriented, with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
