We are looking for an enthusiastic Motorcycle Tours & Rentals Operations Manager to join our growing team.

Role Description

If you're passionate about motorcycles, travel, and creating unforgettable experiences, this role offers the perfect blend of adventure and responsibility — managing daily operations, customer relations, and business development for our tours and rentals across South Africa and India. This is a part‑time, on‑site role based in Salt River, Cape Town, with the potential to grow into a full‑time position. The Motorcycle Tours & Rentals Operations Manager will oversee day‑to‑day operations, coordinate tours and rentals, manage the motorcycle fleet, ensure outstanding customer service, and support business development initiatives. The role also includes oversight of the on‑site coffee shop, coordination with the workshop team, and management of the internal spare parts and accessories inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Customer Service

Oversee daily operations, including bookings, fleet scheduling, and inventory management.

Handle online, email, and telephonic enquiries; prepare quotations; record customer interactions; and follow up for feedback and relationship building.

Manage bookings and invoicing through RETZA's online platforms and internal systems — from initial enquiry to final delivery and follow‑up.

Ensure a smooth and professional customer journey by coordinating with tour guides, partners, and service providers for all tours, events, and rentals.

Fleet and Maintenance

Coordinate all motorcycle servicing and maintenance with the Workshop Manager.

Ensure the fleet is always well‑maintained, serviced on schedule, and ready for tours, rentals, and ad‑hoc bookings.

Maintain detailed records of service intervals, repairs, and spare parts usage.

Events & Business Development

Support the planning and execution of tours, rentals, and events, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on‑site management.

Represent RETZA at tourism events, trade shows, and workshops to promote our experiences and strengthen industry partnerships.

Engage with tourism partners (accommodation, experiences, transfers, etc.) to grow and update RETZA's business network.

Research and propose new routes, accommodations, and experiences to continuously enhance our tour portfolio.

Administration & Shop Management

Maintain accurate administrative and financial records, including billing, invoicing, and daily accounting tasks.

Manage and track stock levels.

Ensure the RETZA showroom, workshop, and coffee area are consistently clean, organized, and customer‑ready.

Supervise cleaning staff and manage consumables to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.

Core Competencies

Experience in motorcycle touring, rentals, or maintenance. Background in tourism, hospitality, or related industries. Excellent customer service and client relationship skills. Strong organizational, multitasking, and management abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with retail operations and inventory management. Passion for motorcycles, travel, and adventure.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism (or currently studying).
• Valid motorcycle license (Code A).
• 1–3 years' experience in tourism and / or motorcycle rentals.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Meet, etc.).
• Social media affinity (Facebook & Instagram; YouTube or TikTok a plus).
• Basic motorcycle mechanics knowledge advantageous.
