Junior Accountant – Mining Services Rustenburg

Finance Accounting Mining Industry Entry-Level to Intermediate

Our client a leading mining services provider delivering reliable underground and surface mining solutions across South Africa is seeking a Junior Accountant with practical accounting experience to join their finance team in Rustenburg.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with 1–3 years of accounting experience who wants broad exposure within a fastpaced commercial and operational mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for and gain exposure to:

• Daytoday accounting processing and transactional finance
• Preparation of journals reconciliations and monthend close
• Debtors creditors and cashbook management
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts and internal reporting
• Assisting with budgets cost tracking and variance analysis
• Providing support during internal and external audits
• Ensuring accurate recordkeeping and compliance with company policies

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance or equivalent (e.g. BCom Accounting National Diploma in Accounting or Financial Management)
• 1–3 years’ experience in an accounting environment (mining or engineering sector advantageous)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Pastel Sage SAP or similar)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Willingness to be based onsite in Rustenburg
