Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the daily administration of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Keep food safety and quality documentation, records, and logs up to date.
- Coordinate scheduling of audits, inspections, verifications, and internal reviews.
- Support implementation of food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, organise, and archive compliance reports, certificates, and audit files.
- Communicate with suppliers and service providers regarding certificates of analysis, compliance documentation, and product specifications.
- Assist with internal and external audit preparation and follow-up.
- Provide administrative support to the Food Safety Consultant in all compliance-related activities.
Necessary Qualifications & Skills :
Base knowledge of food safety standards basic requirements.Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, One Drive, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Additional Qualifications & Skills :
Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.Fundamental knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (R638, SANS10049, GFSI).Experience in document control, compliance administration, or quality assurance within the food industry.
