Senior Client Executive in Power & Renewable Energy - Construction is a hybrid, Cape Town-based role with a requirement to work in the office at least three days per week. Join Marsh Middle East and Africa to apply for this position.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Energy & Power Practice at Marsh. This role will be based in Cape Town and has a hybrid arrangement with in-office requirements three days a week. Marsh Specialty - Energy & Power Practice is a market-leading specialty business servicing all aspects of the Energy & Power sector in South Africa and the wider continent.

We are seeking a member of the team who can support our growing portfolio of renewable energy construction projects. The successful candidate will join a team that operates at the highest level of professionalism and insurance knowledge within their sectors. The role involves interaction with clients in the sector, our network offices, broking colleagues, lenders, and the insurance market.

You can expect to work in a fast-paced specialized team within the Renewable Energy Insurance Market that handles projects of various scales; for many projects finance is required and, therefore, working alongside lenders’ insurance advisors will also be required.

Insurance placements will be diverse and offer the successful candidate daily challenges and opportunities to meet new, exciting client needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewable energy construction projects, taking a pro-active approach in delivery of our service
• Provide clients with insurance risk management advisory services
• Create and deliver placement strategies for clients, coordinating with the wider Marsh Energy and Power Specialty worldwide
• Demonstrate proficient awareness of the power & renewables market conditions to provide informed advice to clients
• Develop relationships with other Specialties within Marsh with the view of providing additional products to clients
• Monitors accounts progress (documentation, claims, risk engineering, payments, collections, etc.) anticipating and preventing problems when possible
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, lenders and insurance markets
• Ability to communicate key cover terms and conditions to clients
• Development of new business opportunities
