Requirements :

Candidates should hold a relevant B Degree (NQF level 7) and / or 3 year (NQF level 6) tertiary qualification in the relevant field, coupled with 1-2 years' experience in the relevant field; Knowledge of Social Security as well as relevant prescripts and legislation governing SASSA; Computer literacy and a valid driver's license will be further essential.

Duties :

The incumbent will assist in the co-ordination of operations pertaining to disability and care dependency in the Region, with a specific focus on the operations of disability management and medical assessments and appeals. General administrative support relating to disability management within the Section; Support the co-ordination of the medical appeal processes within the district; Monitoring & evaluating – national norms and standards; Ensure adherence to service standards for enquires related to disability management; Assist with the drafting of correspondence and co-ordination of communication to various stakeholders relating to queries and information required.
