Job description

An excellent opportunity has become available for an HTS Operator to assess employees heat tolerance and physical fitness for working safely in high-temperature environments.

Requirements :

Grade 12 / Std 10 / NQF Level 4 (Essential)
Certificate : HTS Supervisor (CSIR Mining Tech)
Valid Fist Aid Certificate
Minimum 3 years experience working in a mining environment
At least 2 years of experience and exposure to HTS procedures

Responsibilities :

Identify and verify employees presenting for HTS to prevent fraudulent activity.

Conduct health assessment to recognize disorders that may lead to HTS rejection.

Perform fitness tests for employees exposed to WB temperatures above 27.5

Measure body mass temperature and blood pressure of employees.

Monitor employees during HTS procedures to ensure correct stepping and response.

Maintain hygiene of all equipment (e.g. towels thermometers and clothing).

Capture accurate test data into the SAP system.

Supervise employee recuperation including shower and recovery procedures.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of safety and testing equipment.

Monitor and regulate temperature ranges in testing and rest areas according to CSIR standards.
