Our client, a renowned leader in the mining industry, is seeking a highly experienced Winder Engineer. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of winding systems across their shaft operations. If you are a technical expert with strong managerial acumen, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements :

BSc / B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR S Engineering Diploma with completed P1 and P2 modules or an N6 Engineering Diploma
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in commissioning, fault-finding, and conducting repairs on Winders.
At least 3 years of proven managerial / supervisory experience
In-depth knowledge of headgears, ropes and attachments, and shaft & loading arrangements
Solid understanding of budget control and project management principles.

Key Competencies :

Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety standards and Risk Assessment

Strong technical understanding of HV & LV reticulation, Hydraulics, and Analogue / Digital Variable Speed Drives

Proficient in winder safety control philosophies, associated mechanical equipment, and PLC systems

Computer literate (MS Office Suite; SAP experience advantageous)

Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and advanced fault-finding skills

Proven conflict management and resolution abilities
