We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Integration Engineer to join our underground vehicle engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and validation of electrical and control systems used in advanced underground and mining vehicles.
Youll work closely with multidisciplinary teamscovering electrical, mechanical, software, and control engineeringto ensure that all subsystems operate seamlessly and meet performance, safety, and reliability standards in demanding underground environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of electrical, electronic, and control systems across vehicle platforms.
- Develop and maintain system architecture, interface control documents, and integration plans .
- Support the design and testing of CAN bus networks, PLC systems, sensors, and vehicle control units (VCUs) .
- Conduct system-level testing, fault diagnostics, and performance validation .
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Ensure all systems comply with industry safety standards, EMC / EMI requirements, and functional safety protocols (ISO 13849 / ISO 26262) .
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Provide on-site support during vehicle commissioning, trials, and maintenance activities when required.
Requirements
Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical, Mechatronic, Control Systems, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).Proven experience in systems integration for heavy, mobile, or underground equipment .Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, control architectures, CAN communication (J1939), and diagnostics tools .Familiarity with PLC programming, embedded controllers, and instrumentation systems .Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work in harsh industrial or underground environments when needed.
