Job descriptionLead and manage production activities within the assigned underground section. Develop and implement daily and monthly production and safety plans. Guide motivate and supervise team members to ensure performance and productivity. Enforce compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) regulations and site procedures. Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe healthy work environment. Monitor and optimize operational efficiency while managing costs effectively. Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures. Maintain effective communication with management and report on section performance. Ensure team members are trained competent and equipped for their duties. Continuously improve mining processes and operational standards.
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced and results-driven Shift Supervisors to join a leading mining operation in Rustenburg. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about production excellence safety and leading high-performing underground teams.
Requirements :
- Blasting Certificate (essential).
- Supervisory Certificate of Competency (essential).
- Grade 10 / Standard 8 (minimum educational requirement).
- Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency and Grade 12 (advantageous).
- Minimum 34 years of supervisory experience in underground stoping operations.
- Strong knowledge of mining production safety and legal compliance.
- Excellent leadership planning and problem-solving skills.
- Medically fit no criminal record and able to pass Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS).
