Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets and forecasts aligned with organisational goals.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse variances and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present management accounts, financial reports and recommendations.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, investments and payment of liabilities.
- Maintain financial controls, manage risks and ensure regulatory, tax and accounting compliance.
- Oversee external audits, payroll approvals and insurance requirements.
- Oversee tax calculations, statutory returns and submissions.
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team and provide financial guidance to other departments.
- Oversee financial systems, technology and reporting solutions.
- Maintain accurate financial records and provide ad-hoc financial support to management.
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification.
- 35 years experience in a financial management role.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and cash flow management skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS, taxation, audits, internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems, Excel, financial modelling and reporting tools.
- Strong strategic financial planning, business partnering and cost management capabilities.
- Proven leadership, performance management and process improvement skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
