Financial Manager

Job Description:
This role involves:

• Driving the monthly close, consolidation, management reporting, and cash flow management across the group
• Presenting monthly financial performance and insights to the CEO and shareholders
• Supporting hotel developments, acquisitions, funding applications, valuations, due diligence exercises, and feasibility studies
• Managing accounting processes for development and expansion projects
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term capital expenditure planning
• Strengthening financial controls across hotel operations, including revenue, stock, cash management, and debtor oversight
• Managing cash flow, banking relationships, EFT authorisations, and rolling forecasts
• Overseeing tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, Income Tax, and Dividends Tax
• Preparing annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and managing external audits
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team
• Partnering with shareholders on tax planning and strategic financial initiatives

Skills & Experience:

• 5-8 years' finance experience within the hospitality industry
• Experience within multi-entity or group environments (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of South African tax legislation and compliance
• Financial modelling, valuation, funding, due diligence, and business case experience
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to communicate confidently with both finance and operational teams

Qualification:

• CA(SA), SAIPA, SAICA, ACMA, or CGMA
